Hello everyone ! So, I have a Titanium 1Ghz model with one speaker not working. I believe it’s the left side not working, so I ordered a new top case from this website - https://www.macpartstore.com/922-5203-case-top.html

Given the Titanium is very hard to take apart and replace parts, I wanted to know if any of you can assist me in fixing it ? I would send the part and my PowerBook to someone who can fix it for me. Or, is there a way to hook up external speakers to the titanium ? The audio in port does not seem to work with external speakers. Also, my screen is a little messed up and could use a replacement. Money is not the issue, I just want to get the sound and screen taken care of. The rest of the machine works. I am typing this on it via tenfourfox.

if anyone is near MD, this would be nice. Please let me know in private message how much for labor ? I know how to do basics on the titanium, such as removal of the bottom housing and adding HDD which I did a few months ago.

any help would be nice.

The Titanium seems difficult but actually isn't too bad if you follow a step by step guide like they have on iFixit. I recently tore one of mine completely down for the first time to remove the display and it wasn't too difficult. You'll just need T6 and T8 bits, and some thermal paste to re-apply on the CPU since the cooling system has to be removed.
