paying tax to get now or wait for bx to get?

I am wondering if I should wait till the base exchange has the 64 gigabyte verizon model in stock for the new ipad? Or should I just go to the apple store and pay the 7 percent georgia tax which would add on another 70 dollars? I have been waiting quite a while for the base exchange to have the model that I want. I have been told by the worker, that the base exchange pretty much text last dibs on the ipad.

Just go buy it. You'll likely never see that model at AAFES.

The reason why I am asking this question is because I am frustrated of how many stores besides that apple store do not have the model of that I am looking for.
