Just wondering when apple usually charges a credit card. I preordered at 5 this morning...

Apple will authorize the credit/debit card once u pre-order. It will stay pending for a few days, then charge goes away. When it ships it posts.

They are charged when shipped in both cases.

Credit cards just usually show a $1 pre auth, while debit cards show a pre auth of the full amount. The charge will be cleared off of your account by Monday then it'll be actually charged when it ships.

In the past, Apple hasn't done any authorisation charges for debit cards, they go out and never return.

I put mine on an AMEX this morning. I have a $1 charge and the price of the phone charge both pending on my account.
