Although sales on App Store and iTunes gift cards usually end soon after they launch, Amazon and PayPal still have 15 percent discounts on $100 iTunes cards happening in the last few days before Christmas. The ongoing sales make for easy last-minute gift ideas since you can get a code emailed in under 24 hours.

At Amazon, if you purchase $100 or more in iTunes credit you'll get $15 off once you enter the promo code ITUNES15 during checkout. This will lower the $100 iTunes card to $85, and Amazon's storefront limits the promotion to one card per customer.

PayPal's sale is happening through its Digital Gifts eBay store and is the same as Amazon's: you can buy the $100 iTunes card for $85, but no promo code is required. You'll need a PayPal account to complete the purchase, and the card will be valid only on purchases made on the United States App Store. With both sales, you can enter your own email address, or enter the email address of a friend or family member and directly send the code to them.

App Store and iTunes gift cards can be used for a variety of items and services found on Apple devices. You can rent and buy movies on iTunes, subscribe to Apple Music, pay for your monthly iCloud storage, purchase a new app, expand your iBooks collection, and much more. If you're looking for more specific ideas, MacRumors will be sharing a roundup of apps, games, movies, books, subscriptions, and more that you can buy with any iTunes cards you might get this Christmas, so be sure to check back on Monday for the full list.

Sucks that Apple went full lockdown on iTunes gift card discounts :(

Lately it seems like 15% off is the biggest discount one can expect. Used to at least occasionally see 25%, sometimes even more.

Once I got them on a 35% discount off of a $100 card, while another time I even had a 50% off of 20 $10 cards via PayPal gifts (albeit system error, should have only been allowed to get one).

Ah well... guess you take what you can get ;)

I was REALLY expecting/hoping to see 20% before Christmas, but ah well

I had bought this from PayPal when it was offered a month or so ago. Even though I paid for it, I had to prod PayPal to actually send the code. Initially, the sale claimed a 6-8 day delivery. (For an e-mailed code? Seriously?) It took about two weeks for them to get it to me. I could've gotten an iPhone X quicker....

Are you sure it was the same seller? I have used them several times and always had the code in my mailbox in less than an hour.

Costco came close. They had $200 gift cards for 17.5% off. I managed to score around $200 on a batch of 25% off $15 cards a couple of years ago. That was the best I've ever done on getting iTunes gift cards.

I've noticed that PayPal Digital gitfts (and Costco too) actually offer the iTunes cards at other times of the year too. I've picked up the 15% discount on the $100 gift card several times this year at different times of the year. It's not just the holidays.

I second what Rigby said. I've bought gift cards from PayPal Digital Gifts numerous times and always got the code within 24 hours and typically within an hour. If something went wrong and you didn't get the code, then I could see the process dragging out because now it requires having to get people involved to verify things. Otherwise, it appears to be an entirely automated process.

I'd say that I wouldn't hesitate to buy again if I were you, but perhaps there is an issue with their ability to get an email off to your email address. It's possible there was a real issue other than random or freak error. Maybe try a different email address.

I don't know they are still offering this or not but as a professional I can say it's a great offer
