Behind You...
Im starting a small business and have little funds, but I want a way to easily keep track of payroll and employees. I was looking at quickbooks, but they are expensive. I have already invested in Daylite 3 and Billings from Marketcircle Inc.
Does anyone have any cheap recommendations.
 
Numbers would be my choice if you're doing payroll in-house and since your sig says you have iWork.

You could set up formulas for calculating taxes and withholdings, create a table for payroll history, and create a separate table with employee information.
 
I have designed software of this. It has helped me and the HR department in a variety of ways. All the documents and files and data can be properly stored in software. It helps to maintain employee’s record in an excellent manner
