PB 1.5 v PB 1.67

Hi

Quick question regarding new PB 15" machines.

Do you think there is enough performance difference to justify the extra price of the 1.67 instead of the 1.5 Ghz PB?

If I get one, this will last me a while so performance v price has to be good.

Apparently not.

They both have the backlit keyboard, 5400 rpm hard drive and 512MB of RAM as standard, so if you don't need the SuperDrive, the Combo model probably represents the better deal.

Edit: Even if you add the SuperDrive to the 1.5, it's still CAD200 cheaper than the 1.67. I'm not sure that slight increase in processor speed is worth the extra cash, personally.

Well, the 1.67 GHz machine is faster (not much faster, but you probably will notice the speed difference)...I would go for that if you can afford it.
