I have burnt a data DVD using my PC, with Nero burning software.
When I tried to read the DVD from my PB, it doesn't recognize it. Is this a compatibility issue? Mac cannot read DVDs burned from a PC?

The CD/DVD must be burned ISO 9660 to be compatible with non-Windows systems.

Thanks a lot.

So how can I set nero to burn with ISO 9660? Also how to change the bit setting to make my DVD+R to DVD-R?

My Nero-burned DVD+Rs play fine in my Rev. B 12" PowerBook without modifications to the burn settings. Maybe I'm just lucky? My machine only has the Combodrive, not the Super...

PB can't read DVD, yet eMac can

Not trying hijacking the thread, but have a similar issue. Figured better than starting a new thread for future searching.

I burned a DVD using Toast. Can't remember which machine I used for the burn. But the DVD gets ejected by the PB, yet is read by the eMac. Any thoughts?

I have used a few dvd+r on my rev c 12-inch powerbook which a friend of mine burned on his pc.
Not sure if he burned it as iso 9660.

Which kinda media is it? + or -? Older Mac drives cannot cope with + media, which newer ones can.
I was using a SmartBuy DVD-R...which does not work. My PB couldn't recognize the disc

Can't open CD

I've got a Macbook Pro 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and can't read a simple CD-R in ISO 9660 format, I have to use my old iMac 1.8 GHz G5 to read them???!!!!:mad:
