I just got a 17" PB G4 DLSD on Ebay, arrived in great shape with a fresh install of Leopard. I updated everything and was surfing with TenForFox when it started acting funky, beachballs on everything. I restarted and got the prohibited symbol. I tried a reinstall and was unable to complete. I ran Tech Tool Pro and got a lot of bad sectors. I installed a known good HD and got errors as well.
Do HD cables just go bad? This machine still had the Kapton on the HD.
