Just a note to you guys -- I had told myself no 10.3.9 update on my Tibook because I'd heard rumor of memory slots getting fried and other issues. 10.3.8 was fine with me. But late last week I got the software update page and decided to just install a security update for 10.3.9 without the regular update of the entire X3.9 install.
The thing switched on once after that and that was it. Nothing after that; no chimes no screen, nada except green light of powersupply.
Daystar tech told me I blew the motherboard battery due to a lack of a firmware update; or so they told me. 70 bucks for the part plus labor. I don't know if I should be mad at myself or Apple for not explaining things better to dumbys like me.
