In this image, you will see that on Apple's store page... the price of the Powerbooks now show them starting at 1599... but the buy now page still says 1499. This concerns me as I was planning to buy one TODAY. What is going on?

Well, as far as I can tell, this means only one thing: G5 PowerMacs, starting at $1599. ;-)

I suspect it's just a typo.

If you were planning on buying one, why not simply put it in the cart and see how much it says. If it's still 1499, then buy it. No need to commit to a purchase until you see the price...

Please accept my apology in case I misunderstood your point...

It's just a typo. If you actually click on the PowerBooks, the 12" combo drive model is still $1,499.

Okay... I bought it LOL.

I'm using it now. I got it at CompUSA. Ummm... I just wondered why they would update it with the wrong information when it was right before - that's all.

Now it's back to the right thing.

They updated the image so the PBs could have Tiger's background picture. I guess they must have been using an old Photoshop file or something, with the older prices.

Or they are updating them and will be starting the price at 1599. To me it seems like a given.
