PB Trackpad Button needing repair

Hi,
I have a 15" Powerbook 1.5GB, about 4 years old now.

Lately the trackpad button, (hope that's the right term), has begun acting up, like it's about to go belly up soon.

Won't click without some pressure, and often I end up double clicking on something, when I've only clicked once.

Anyone know if this is a common problem, and if it's an easy fix?

Is this something that can be attempted at home, or does it need a tech?
