My PowerBook has locked up twice in the last week or so. Completely locked up. The mouse doesn't move, no graphics change and it'll sit there forever if I let it. the caps lock light does toggle on and off.

There is no new hardware and no significant new software. The only thing that's really changed is the ambient heat, which is about 85 in here, but with a fan nearby...

Anyone?

Anyone?

It has happened on my 15" a few times and the only way is to hold down the power button until its off, and restart.

Is there anyway to find the error logs after a restart or are they flushed out?

look in the console

probably located in /applications/utilities.

in the left pane, look at /library/logs/crashreporter
and ~/library/logs/crashreporter

depending on what caused it to crash and when, there could be a log in there. To the untrained eye, you might not learn much, but at least you can possibly zero in on the offending application. From there the fun really begins.
