PBG412" acting slow

My sister has a PowerBook G4 12", and she says it's acting slow, especially after I told her to configure her .Mac account and iDisk on it....I removed that, but is there any way to make is less sluggish? The WiFi is also really slow and doesn't work as well as our other WiFi devices.

Have you tried restarting? And have you checked your page outs?

The WiFi is rubbish on the PowerBooks,I know as I have 1.

Also free disk space plays a big part, Mac OS X likes a few GB of free disc space to use as virtual memory.

I was just about to ask how much free space was left. Anything less than about 10% of the hard disk capacity as free space and it'll be pretty sluggish. Anything less than about 5% and it'll be virtually unuseable from my experience.

She has about 30 GB left on an 80 GB disk.

She has restarated. I fogot how to check the page outs. I was going to repair permissions as well, but she hasn't given me a chance to do it yet.

Sounds fine to me If it was below 10GB then It may have been the cause.

Keep us posted on if the repair permission works
