Pc 8800gt in old mac pro under windows xp

hello everyone, i have been look around to see if i could figure this out and i semi got an answer but im trying to be certain before i go out and buy anything. What i am wondering is could i run a PC 8800gt in my older mac pro only under windows xp. i dont care about OS X because i will keep my 7300 for that. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Also if the 8800 wont work would the 8600 work? thanks again

i was under the impression that PC video cards need a bios to work, and the macs lack that

well wouldnt that be covered by using the graphics card under windowsXP not OS x. i dont plan on ever using the 8800gt on any mac os just on windows XP

Is there anyone else that could give me input about it? Im wondering cause im looking to upgrade and im going to use the graphics card under windows XP only. Any input would help me out.

Any PC card that works with a PICe slot on a Windows machine will work in the Mac Pro. You can use your 8800 GT.

thats what i thought. thank you very much. I only use windows for gaming and the 8800gt will help alot. thank you very much for the input. I didnt think there would be a problem but was just making sure.
