PC and ram

Im working on a pc at work that needs a ram upgrade. I couldn't remember if I should put the larger ram chip in the first or second slot. I know years and years ago that made a difference. Is the same true today?

AFAIK, there is no difference nowadays. You can mix them as much as you want

Getting the correct slot only really matters if you're trying to do a dual or tri channel setup. Since your sizes are mismatched, not a concern for you.
