PC Card to USB adaptor for 3G data cards

I have a PCMCIA Vodafone data card that I want to use with my MBP (work provided card I want to use recreationally on my Mac). Obviously it woin't fit into the MBP's express card slot.

I had a look at a product from Elan called the U142 that seems to fit the bill, however it seems to have pretty beta-level driver support for Mac OS X.

Is anyone using this or any similar product to hook their express card machines up to a PCMCIA data card??
