hey, ive got a pc at home and started uni this yr, so i got a 300g external hdd, neway i take it to uni where they have macs but i cant modify the files on the hdd. is there neway around this??

Re-partition (Partition Magic can do this without losing data) the drive and make at least one partition FAT32 instead of NTFS. Then you will be able to read/write from both OSes.
