iPod pc-formatted ipod to mac

Can I transfer songs from my sisters ipod onto my new mb if her ipod is a PC formatted ipod? I disabled the auto sync, so she would not lose all the songs on her ipod. Then I went to import to take them from her ipod into my library, but it wouldnt even give me the option. Am I doing something wrong?

You cannot transfer music from an iPod to a Mac. Only a Mac to an iPod. What you'll need to do is get Senuti (versiontracker.com) and use that to download the music to your Mac.

The PC-Mac issue isn't the problem, its Apple's non-pirating prevention technique built into the iPod.
EDIT: The import button is for importing CD's not iPod music or mp3's.
