My iPhone is the 3GS, firmware 3.1.3/5.12. It's jailbroken currently with spirit(obviously). I want to know if I can update to the 4.0 gm seed safely now that iTunes 9.2 is out for pc. I'm not a developer but Ive Downloaded the ispw online. Also will I be able to jailbreak it?

You can update, but not jailbreak unless you use Pwnage Tool to update it.
PT is Mac only.
Or get a custom restore IPSW and use iTunes to install it.

Ok so this is the closest thread i found to post my problem in...I have restored and restored and it keeps not working..I dl'd itunes 9.2 and put 4.0 on my iphone 3gs..Before i restored it from a backup the internet and 3g and everything worked awesome....Once i restore it from my backup all of a sudden nothing will load..It says i have 5 bars of 3g and I even tried Edge...I connected to my wifi and it started working but nothing loads while i'm just connected to 3g/edge..Is this happening to anyone else?!
