PC/iTunes/AC adapter won't recognize iPhone

I recently used Ziphone program to unlock and jailbreak an OTB 1.1.3 iPhone. It all seemed to be successful, I was able to use the phone on TMobile, use Edge, download apps, etc. That was last night. Then I was using Itunes 8 for the first time since I originally jailbreaked and unlocked the phone, and it started syncing forever, so i unplugged it during the sync. An hour or two later and my PC laptop using Vista no long recognizes the iphone, nor does itunes. I was starting to get USB errors and malfunctions, and itunes would not recognize the phone at all. Also my AC adapter no longer shows that is charging the phone (it will technically charge the phone somewhat, to about 80 percent over night, but it will not show that it is actually charging). The only thing that seems to be charging my phone now is my car adapter for the radio. I have tried restoring the phone, but no luck, as itunes and my computer do not recognize the phone - even when i get to the screen on the phone with the itune symbol and usb cable. I also reset all the settings through the general settings reset option. The phone is still in working condition, makes calls, internet etc. Any ideas?
