Must hackintosh well,

2.13+ GHz Core 2 Duo (or quad)
Dedicated GPU (or a good intergrated like NVIDIA 9400m
4 GB RAM supporting 8
15 inch 1680x1050 ips (mabye) matte LED backlit screen
Backlit Keyboard
Thinkpad style mouse (the dot in the middle of the keyboard)
Decent speakers (as good or better than PB G4 15)
No lights in vents or anything like that
Gigabit Ethernet
Express Card 54
SD slot
CF slot

Cheaper than low end MBP 13 (from powermax) after tax or from a no tax reseller

sounds to me like they are looking for a pc based laptop with what the 15 MBP comes with with the addition of express card and CF reader, with the lenovo/ibm style keyboard but at the price of a low end 13"mbp.
oh yeah and it has to run osx :D

Then get it.
Although I do like my Dad's Dell. It is just missing the CF slot and backlit KB. I am going to try OS X on it later (1.0 Kb a second on the download:mad:). It does have a broadcom WiFi chipset. The weak spot is the screen though. I can do with a express card/PCMCIA CF reader. (the dell has a PCMCIA slot with a CF reader in it)

You're gonna have a heck of a time finding a laptop with a CF slot. If you'd settle for an expresscard CF reader, then you'd have more luck.

Also, finding that for under $1100...might prove to be the impossible task. Unless you dig up a coupon.

Lets see. It is missing:
CF slot
Express Card slot
1680x1050 matte screen
Thinkpad style mouse

LOL. But this does sound like a M$ ad. (excluding the hackintosh part) But send me the money when I find it :D

buy a refurb 15"MBP. it has an express card slot.

compact flash slot is not so important because it can be replaced by a usb card reader (sucks i know).

screen is 1440x900. should be good enough with a antiglare foil.

glass trackpad is better than think pad.

2.4GHz costs $1349:eek:
