pc -> mac, album art seperated from files? tons of jpegs?

hey all.
i apologize if this is posted in the wrong place.

i recently imported all my songs from my PC to my macbook, and it seperated all the album artwork that was merged with the mp3s into individual jpegs. my music folder is now literally 4,000 songs and 4,000 jpegs of album artwork.

im wondering if there is a way to fix this, and reattach the art to the files, is this even possible in mac os x?
