You See Dead People...
In Pictures: The Most Notable Notebooks of 2007

"Try that again: The fastest Windows Vista notebook we've tested this year--or for that matter, ever--is a Mac. Not a Dell, not a Toshiba, not even an Alienware. The $2419 (plus the price of a copy of Windows Vista, of course) MacBook Pro's PC WorldBench 6 Beta 2 score of 88 beats Gateway's E-265M by a single point, but the MacBook's score is far more impressive simply because Apple couldn't care less whether you run Windows."

Just an FYI for anyone who's in the market for a notebook and wants to know which one runs vista the fastest and "best"... "best" of course being relative to other windows OS's and windows only pc hardware configurations because none of them compare to Mac OS X, Mac hardware running Mac OS X, or even a Mac running windows vista.

Very cool. It's nice to know the hardware in the MBP is as good as it feels.

I can't imagine many Windows-only users wanting a MBP, though, what with Apple insisting on maintaining its own keyboard layout and trackpad style. Sure, I'm used to it and love it all now, but it's a barrier to switchers and I wouldn't want to go through all that if I wasn't at least getting a new OS.

Haha, niiice. But I have come to find that all Macs run Windows faster compared to their PC counterparts.

Emphasis shifted.

Methinks PC Magazine must lurk a lot in bottom-feeder land... as there is a decently sized clutch of machines out there which can match or (considerably) exceed the MBP's Vista performance.

When you add the fact that it can also run OSX this is the best laptop you can get. Now if Apple would only add a right click button to the trackpad...
