PC experts-
I have a Dell Optiplex 5060 running the CCTV software for my business. It has two DisplayPort outputs (on the motherboard). #1 FHD monitor is DP to DVI in our server/electrical room with the PC. #2 QHD monitor (set to run at FHD) is DP to HDMI and located in an adjacent room. The screens are mirrored.
The other day the computer crashed and after restarting, only the #2 monitor works. I have tried replacing monitor #1. I have also tried swapping the monitor ports and cables. No matter what, only the #2 monitor works, regardless of which DP is used.
The other weird thing is Windows recognizes the second monitor, you can select mirror displays, but nothing shows up. I have made sure the OS and drivers are up to date.
The one important detail is that one of my employees not familiar with the setup tried to fix the computer after it crashed without consulting me, so I’m not exactly sure what possibly could have been messed with.
I haven’t tried the built-in VGA port. (There is no dedicated graphics as the CCTV software decoding is designed for Intel integrated graphics).
Thoughts?
