P Phayz macrumors member Jul 9, 2010 31 2 Dec 1, 2010 #2 Right click and untick "lock taskbar". Then click somewhere on the taskbar and drag it to the bottom of the screen. Right-click and tick "lock taskbar" and it should be now fixed there.

Super...I have always been able to move the bar in other versions of Windows with no issue or on other machines with XP, it but I never knew about the right click option and I thought it was buried deep in Windows XP.
