I have a client coming with a window powerpoint presentation on a thumb
drive. He want's me to marry the video with the presentation.

I do not have office on my mac.

My question...

Can I take the PP presentation and create a quicktime video on my PC
and cut it up on my G5 or do I need to get office for my Mac? OR...
I have keynote. Could it work this way?

Thanks ahead!

Depending on the version of Keynote you have, you might be able to import the PP presentation (although there may be some things that are not imported well). And in theory (again depending on the version of Keynote) you should be able to export to a PP format. Again, the export might not be 100% successful.

It depends on what format the client wants.

I have keynote version 2.0.2.(IWORK 5) It is the latest before the recent one.

Do you know if you can import from Final Cut HD 5 or export to Final Cut? I need to add it to video I will import to Final Cut.

Thanks for your reply!

Presumably if you can import the PP to Keynote, then clean up any import anomalies and maybe add some Keynote features, you can then export as a Quicktime movie.
