I'm soo use to the bungling of the PC world I'm surprised when things are so easy in the mac world. My question has to do with removing programs from my harddrive. In the PC you have to use either the Add/Remove Programs function from the Settings menu or rely on the individual programs having a unload function included with it.

Do I just toss the program on my mac into the trash and that's it? Does this remove all trace of the program?

My other question is I've been trying out lots of programs now and I wanted to know if there is a defragmentation program included with my 1GIG Ti 15" G4 that I'm not finding or is there one that people recommend. Thanx...I'll get this one day.

The only other trace of appøocations found on det harddrive is its preferences in the home/library/preferences folder
