Hey Everyone.
This is a "learn-as-I-go" process so I will add more info over the rest of the day. This has been a week long project and I seem to be slowly getting closer and closer to a positive conclusion. I plan to run a Window Vista (yeah, i know) Computer through my 2-Year Old 27' IMac's display. The majority of people who are going through a similar process when a googled it use a different cable, or are trying to connect a Mac to another Mac. Then I found this page: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2246912?start=0&tstart=0

However, the back of his Mac has a "Mini-Display in-out port" and mine has a "Mini-DVI port" in the exact same spot with the same symbol. I learned this the hard way and bought the wrong cord. Once I did figure out that the Mini-DVI was that, I began to notice I was on my own with this one. The back of the PC has a VGA plugin on my Ati video card. So I did buy a special Adapter called a "Mini-DVI to VGA" which is Apple brand. I plug everything in, all of the cords fit in their designated locations and when both are on, nothing really happens. Once it was plugged in, the Mac became self aware of the cords existence, but after it fades to blue, like it is about to do something, it comes back to the Mac desktop. It also becomes a different resolution in the display. So the Mac is trying to make the connection between it and the Pc, but something isn't allowing it to change. Now I believe I actually need a video driver for it. But do I need one for my Mac? My Pc? Or Both? I have no idea. I'll post the Video card specs in a little bit. But if someone can shed some light on my situation, it would be much appreciated :)

Also if someone could tell me if there is an alternative to a VGA too, that would also be helpful. Honestly I don't even know if Macs are even compatible with VGA. The back of my PC also has I believe a DVI plugin and a HDMI plugin. So if there is such a thing as a "Mini-DVI to HDMI", please direct me to that.

Thanks!
