Heeeello all! First post here, first contact with Mac's world :)

I am switching over from M$, my 6 month old Acer laptop has died (its mobo more specifically) and I decided to go on and enter the world of Apple hehe.

I've bought the $1299 model of the MacBook (2ghz C2D, 2x512 ram, superdrive), and thing is that in the Acer lappy I had 2x1gb sticks (crucial, PC4200). I have read in some places that the MacBooks ONLY accept PC5300 stick, and I just wanted to confirm this with you. Is it just a no-go, or is it an apple recomendation like the one of "have a pair of matched sticks"?

Well, that's all for now, and thanks in advance!
