Are all pci cards compatible with mac?

I've not looked it to this yet, so I'm totally in the dark.
basically I am interested in looking at a video capture card, any advise

Thanks

Nope not really. Which card are you looking at or do you want a rec on which card you should buy? Either case, what MacPro do you own?

Answer is yes and no.
If you really need to use pci gear, you can try those pci extension box like magma's. BUT without drivers, nobody can say you pci card will work or not.
;)I know lots of music producers using magma's extension box to run their PCIX protools card.I hope this info helps a bit

The blackmagic intensity card is a good capture pci card for Mac Pro. Its capable of up to HD capture with different inputs.

What sources are you looking to capture from? Do you need to also output to a broadcast monitor and/or a tape deck?

Knowing those things will help choose the right capture card.

Companies like BlackMagic and AJA make several capture cards compatible with the Mac Pro.
