PCI compatibility w/new dual 1.8 G5?

Like most of you, I noticed that the new dual 1.8 G5 has three PCI slots, not PCI-X slots. Here's my question: will my currently-not-officially-supported-in-a-G5 Digi 001 audio interface work in this new G5 model? I don't dispute Digidesign's claim that my Digi 001's PCI card is incompatible with the power specs of PCI-X, but has anyone heard whether previously unsupported PCI cards work with this specific G5 model?

I've tried to get through to Digidesign, but of course have heard nothing from them...
