Hello

I've got a few questions I'm hoping some brighter minds can help me with. I'm thinking about throwing a few PCI cards in my G5 tower. The tower has PCI-X cards, but finding PCI-X cards locally has proved rather troublesome and sense they're backwards compatible I'm just going to grab some PCI cards.

The plan is to add a 4 port USB PCI card, and a 2 port eSATA card.

The question I'm asking is the PCI speed going to bottleneck the cards? If I get a Blu-ray burner in a USB2/eSATA enclosure, will everything flow smoothly from my hard drive to eSATA PCI card and then to burner? Or would I have better luck just plugging into the on board USB2 making the addition of the eSATA card not really worth it. I'm getting the USB2 PCI card basically because I'm sick of dealing with hubs.

I've tried searching with little luck, anyone who can shed some light on this, it'd be much appreciated

Thanks!
