PCI USB Card for PMG5?

Hey you guys, can I buy just any USB PCI card and plug into my PMg5? I just dont like dealing with the hub that I have. Too many extra wires...

Sure. Make sure it's Mac compatible and stay away anything with the VIA chipset. It's garbage.

Be certain you have PCI and not a PCI-X G5. I don't know if regular PCI cards will fit in that slot. Anyone else know for sure.

Well thats kinda what I was getting at. A lot of times, Mac compatible pieces will be more expensive...even though they are exactly the same as the PC one...SO I didnt wanna over pay for the same thing.

On the flip end, whats the best place to get them? Newegg would you say? And also...I think my G5 is...AGP? Anybody confirm this...Cause under my System info, under the PCI section, it says no card installed and when I click on my graphics card, it say AGP....eekk

PCI cards fit into PCI-X slots. PCIe cards will not. Be sure the appropriate drivers exist. An AGP G5 should have PCI-X slots on it.
