PCI-X vs. PCI

I'm planning on getting a dual 1.8 or 2.0 and the deciding factor is whether I need PCI-X or not. I would use the computer for graphic design (ps/illustrator/etc.)... and maybe music recording... would I need PCI-X factor in for any of these applications.
