My Google-fu is failing me on this: trying to run a six pin power for a video card (x1900) on a G5 PCIe Mac.

Suggestion (judging by eBay) seems to be using a SATA power adapter. I happen to have one around and it's not ideal. I have to slide the cable under the lip of the acrylic wind tunnel plate.

There must be a more elegant way? Or some kind of official documentation (even the ATI manual only addressed software installation...)

Isn't there a 6-pin connector on the logic board - top edge, about 5 or 6 cm from the top left corner of the board?
You can get to that connector after removing the card guide. That's a "normal" 6-pin connector for graphics cards, I believe, so no need for that SATA adapter cable.

Yeah, looks like there's one hiding there. Much appreciated.

Now to go hunt a 6 pin short-run cable.
