I have just bought a PCIe 5 port USB card, and it has a 4 pin power adaptor, which looks like the ones that plug into the back of hard drives. All I can find in the manual (apart from poorly translated English and a lack of grammar, which reads quite funny) about it is that it's a 4 pin power connector... I don't know if I need to connect it, and if I do... to where? (In my Mac Pro).

I can't find anything about this particular card (UHPe-500) on the internet, but I did find this card, which says "Ready for use with self-powered devices, or plug an available system power cable into the onboard molex connecter for devices requiring bus power.", does that mean I can use this card for things like my printer, but I couldn't charge my iPhone through it because it needs a lot of power?

Thanks
