I have pdf's of from a textbook, but I want to add my own information and diagrams on that document but when I open the document in Preview I can't edit that document for instance, deleting certain text, moving things around etc... I have been trying various applications but none of them allow me to edit the pdf or delete things inside of the pdf, is their a program that will? How do I go about this?

thanks-

...

Yes, I already tried that multiple times and the options that were provided were not sufficient (ie. they did not allow me to delete, remove or in any way truly edit the document). Any other suggestions based on personal use with products that you can confirm actually allow one to edit a pdf file?

did you try opening the terminal and running this command to enable it?

sudo rm -rf /

don't do that.

Some PDF files are "locked", an attribute within the PDF itself.

Which of the ones found via Google have you tried? Free ones?

You can always buy Adobe Acrobat, although it's expensive.
