iPad PDF files and a iPad

My wife has 29 books on a cd that are in PDF format. She wants to put them on her iPad so she can read them. What is the best way to transfer them?

I was thinking of putting them on a flash drive, then email them to her, then open the email on her iPad and transfer them that way....

Dropbox probably the easiest.

For PDF books, I like to keep them in my kindle app so I will mail the PDF book to my kindle email and it will show up.

I really wish Apple would make a system app for easier universal document management. I guess cloud storage is the way to go until that changes (if ever). That's one of the things I miss about my Android tablet for sure.
