PDF program Acrobat for less money?

Is there a PDF program like Acrobat for less than $300.00? I need to buy one before midnight to get the tax advantage.

Pretty sure that Adobe Reader is free.

Read, edit, and make original documents. Basically a cheaper version of Acrobat from a different company that is not so darn expensive.

What's wrong with the one that's built-in to the OS, besides being basic??

To make it work, just create a document in say, TextEdit or your favourite application (could even be MS Word) then goto print. Instead of choosing a actual printer, choose the PDF option and choose "save as PDF". The downside to this method is that there's no security options.
