PDF rendering in Safari extremely slow on Retina 15" MBP

Viewing this in Safari is unbearable: http://noodleworld.com/NoodleWorldAlhambra.pdf

I have to download the pdf to Desktop in order to scroll properly.
I've disabled all plugins, but still it's slow. Anyone know why? I've disabled automatic graphics switching.

In Mountain Lion, it was rendering fine.
