I use the firefox-mac-pdf plugin to view pdf files in Firefox. However, this only works some of the time. Other times, when I click on the link, I just get the blank screen. I'm sure it loaded, since Safari (with Adobe Reader) loads the same file in under 30sec while I left FF didn't load it in the 10min that I left it running. There doesn't seem to be a particular pattern as to which files I loads. I tried reinstalling both FF and the firefox-mac-pdf plugin to no effect. Any ideas? Thanks!:):D

Apparently this is fairly common issue. I also had the same problem and gave up. I'm using PDF Dwonload and let Acrobat Reader auto-open pdf files.

Whenever the pdf plugin started doing that to me, I found that upgrading/re-installing the plugin fixed the problem--for a couple of months.

That said, the link provided by the previous poster might suggest that my "fix" might be more coincidence than a fix as such. It is still worth a try though.
