When I try to open PDFs in Safari, it goes to a dark grey screen with a spinning wheel and sometimes pops up asking me to select an application to use to open it. (Preview and Adobe Reader are both then greyed out.) I then have to two finger click on the link and download that way, if the option is available (though with certain pages for school, I cannot do this).

Things that I have done recently that could've screwed this up: I installed Saft, which was messing with some of my pages before, but I fixed that. But I don't really see why it would mess things up this way.

The other thing is that the Adobe Reader I have (for reading ebooks, which require it) is version 7.0.8. I was recently told to upgrade to version 8. This screwed up all my current ebooks, so I uninstalled that. Could that have messed something up?

Main HD > Library > Internet Plug-Ins > Locate something like Adobe.plugin and remove it from that folder.

It should go back to being the default way.
