Hi,

Does anyone know what has happened my Quark?
The preferences folder for my Quark got corrupt, so it said i had to bin my pref folder.../.I went looking for it and it was no where to be found. In the end i had to re install Quark.

Everything is back to normal now apart from my export to pdf....now it gives me a jumbled / scrambled file name, which is V ANNOYING, as i have a lot of jobs going through and could results in slowing me down at work.

Does anyone have a solution for this????

Thanks in advance

Cheers

For future reference, your Quark preferences are probably in your Home folder under:

Library>Preferences>Quark>QuarkXpress 7.0>Xpress Preferences.prf

You could try moving this file to the desktop and restarting Quark again. Let us know what happens. If that fixes the problem, then trash the file on your desktop. If not, return it to its former place and we'll take it from there.

Of course, you're going to lose your new document preferences as well.

Moving PREF didn't work

Hi thanks for reply,

Tried as you said, and the it is just ripping pdf's with the same garbled text on the file name.

Any more ideas?? :)
