I think it looks rather ... modern.

The UI just screams elegant, original, exciting, and other such things, am I right?

It's Ubuntu with a different desktop - but it is definitely no OS X (or in this case IOS7).
I guess if visual consistency across platforms is the priority - this kind of fits the bill.

Whoa, Pear got updated again? Last I checked they were at version 5.

I agree with the other posters, though - Pear does a good job of looking like OS X but it most definitely is NOT OS X.
