peculiar setup question

i thought i would have my 6+ before a bunch of travel i have coming up, but it doesn't look that way. So I was thinking I would cancel my order and try to find one while I'm on the road.

I have always synced my phone to my desktop, which is where all my photos, music, etc. are kept. I also have a macbook air, which has nothing on it really, just for working away from my desk.

What I am wondering is if I get my hands on a phone, can I backup my current phone to the macbook, restore the new one from that and have everything on the new one that's on the old one? Also, when I return home to the desktop, will I be able to sync with that no problem?

Lastly, is there any way to sync with the desktop remotely, I would image no, but who knows.

You can backup your old phone to the macbook and restore the new phone using that backup and you'll be ready to go. When you return home backup to the desktop and you'll have a back up file on that computer.

As for remote backup, I'm not sure, I don't think so, but I could be wrong.
