I expect to purchase a laptop within the next 2-3 months to replace my 5-year old iMac G3 and have noticed during visits to Apple's SoHo store that iBooks have several letters that are partially peeled off from keyboards as well as some other missing keys.
I realize most store displays receive quite a bit of abuse, but would like to read replies from iBook owners if those are persistent problems. The Powerbook k/b is the superior one, but my usage does not really justify an added expense of a price differential that can easily exceed $500 plus.
Money is not the object here ... it's just puzzling why such a popular and well-received product receives what appears to be a delicate, low quality keyboard.
