Pencil 2 keeps stopping to work

Hi
My pencil 2 and iPad mini problem. Pencil will stop working, battery indicator on home page widget disappears, bt settings say it’s still connected. Pencil setting shows no battery. Can’t reconnect in anyway. I have to forget the pencil, restart iPad and reconnect. Pencil will work again fine for a while
Anyone else had this issue?

update: since upgrading to the latest iOS it has solved the problems

Glad you solved it.
Normally, when this happens, I will just attach the pen to the side of ipad to let it chargered,
then the connection will be back
