Pencil placement on side/opening folio

One thing I’m not so keen on so far is the pencil placement on the side when I open the folio. Maybe it’s that the magnet isn’t particularly strong for the pencil, but I’ve knocked it off several times already when trying to open the folio.

ALSO: probably should have expanded the title. Anyone else have issues with the space bar on their iPad Pro folio? I feel like it sometimes doesn’t register or needs a particularity hard push.
