penryn blackbook value post new macbooks

since apple is no longer making black macbooks at all, does anyone think that the price to sell your used blackbook will increase a little? There are bound to be people that loved the black macbook and are sad that it's gone. Perhaps the less tech-savvy care more about the black appearance than whats inside (even though my blackbook has almost the exact same specs as the high end new macbook, save for the screen, multitouch, and the graphics which most consumers wouldn't care about) Not to mention the blackbook has firewire!.


So what are everyones thoughts on this....could I get more money for my blackbook now that the new macbooks are out?

Doubt it unless you get lucky. You can still get a fair price for it if you try though.

Unfortunately, you are competing with stores who still have stock of the black Macbook, they've discounted those to $1299 (Apple clearance store, Amazon).

Why would you want to sell it? Keep it.
