Penryn MB / MBP - Temperatures compared to the previous generation?

Hi everybody,

I was wondering how hot the new Penryn CPUs get (idle)
How are the fan speeds?

My SR 2,2 MBP idles at 52° Celsius (CPU) with the fans at 2000 RPM.

hi mate, not sure if you if you mean cpu, gpu or enclosure... but my 2.5 15" penryn, runs idle at about 48~52 cpu, but the bottom enclosure as in where it rest on my lap is quite cool at about 30~35 when idle or doing net surfing.

there should be a plenty of posts regarding this issue...

but I still want to mention, it gets cooler A LOT! idle rpm is around 2000, and temp is between 105f to 115f.

since I don't really use MBP to play game or DVD, temp and rpm are usually kept at the level that is close to idle's.
